Writing For Survivors
Have you or any member of your family has been affected by cancer?
The main focus of The Cancer Survivors Club is to help, encourage and inspire people touched by cancer. In addition Chris wants to provide current sufferers
with a distraction from the worries of daily treatment and think about life once they’ve become a survivor and kicked the disease.
One of the ways is for patients to start writing their story while still receiving treatment, detailing their experiences. Ultimately we want them to make it their goal to become a member of The Cancer Survivors Club and possibly have their uplifting story published. This in turn will help other people recently affected by the disease, when they read inspirational survival stories written
by normal people.
Any story relating to cancer from anyone’s perspective can be submitted. However all stories must be true and make a positive impact.
We highly recommend you read your story out loud, as this helps bring out any errors and enables you to check the story flows.
Anyone who tries to advertise or promote a product or service will not be included.
cannot accept any story which has more than 4,000 words.
You may submit your stories by email only, using the link on this website. Each submission must include
your full name, postal address and phone number, together with your email address and title of the story.
Even if you think your writing won’t win an award for its descriptive prose, don’t
worry Chris is
happy to work with you to ‘polish’ your story
